DIRECTOR - BRIDGES - INTERNATIONAL RECOGNISED CONSULTANCY - MICE MIStructE
Working for one of the country's leading multidisciplinary design consultancies, you will be an accomplished Bridges Champion with a good appreciation of design as well as excellent business development skills and the ability to deliver key projects within the Bridges Sector.
The role in more detail will involve the management and development of the company's Southern office which comprises some 50+ staff. Key to this role will be the ability to develop the business unit which currently consists of 40% highways, 40% rail and 20% international work. (each undertakes new construction, maintenance & repair)·
Your task will be to develop more mainstream work including maintenance and repair work that underpins the larger bridge construction projects the company are involved in.
This role will involve authority to act on behalf of the Company in respect of all matters pertaining to their area of the business.
It is expected that you will lead by example by implementing the Company's strategy for winning work, be responsible for the overall financial performance of their business area, ensuring the Company's targets are met and providing leadership in the management of health and safety.
You will be financially stable and commercially astute and be well versed in the Southern market and have some excellent contacts in the industry and be a recognised name.
Essentially you will have 10+ years experience with in the Bridges sector across new build, repair and maintenance of road and rail projects. It is also hoped that you will have exposure to international bridge structures and have both good financial and business development skills.
Additionally strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead by example.
